Easy reading with the Bookfunnel app

Back in 2007, when the first Kindle devices were introduced, we were all hooked on ebooks. The rest, as they say, is history. Except that it’s not — the technology continues to advance. The first Kindles seem quaint compared to their modern versions.

I’m amazed by the way technology has continued to evolve. There are seemingly never-ending ways for readers to enjoy great stories these days.

When once we could only read printed pages, now we can read books on all kinds of different devices. Books have become more portable. We can carry hundreds of books with us in our pockets!

Most folks read on their phones these days. Tablets of all sorts are also popular. And there are any number of ereader devices now, too. Which is just the selection for the written word.

Now audiobook streaming has become easier and the costs are coming down every day. Gone are the clunky CDs and MP3 discs, along with the high prices to buy them.

The options are nothing short of wonderful. What is your preferred method of reading books?

One of the many platforms that gives us better access to books across all devices is BookFunnel. If you’ve downloaded any of my sneak peeks or printable bookmarks, you’ve already used BookFunnel. It’s a great service. The folks are very knowledgeable and helpful. And the products are top notch.

BookFunnel offers a wide array of functions, but one of them is a universal method of distributing books to readers. And by “universal” I mean they have options to read a book on any device—whether you read on a Nook, a Kindle, a Kobo, a tablet, your phone, or right here on your browser. BookFunnel has it all!

There is a free BookFunnel app that makes the process even easier.  It also keeps your library in one place and makes everything easy to find. You can download the free app CLICK HERE.
The Bookfunnel app works just like any other reading app! So easy!

Dangerous flights

Small jet travel Many of you know that Special Agent Kim Otto has a lot of anxiety… particularly when traveling on a small jet. With good reason. My research shows Otto is spot on. I incorporated some of this research into  Lone Star Jack including a few of these fascinating statistics. According to this article […]

Murder for hire…

The brains behind the crime… Research for Lone Star Jack sent me down some interesting avenues, as usual. For me, writing believable characters and plots comes from the study of human nature. The plot for Lone Star Jack (and it’s source book, Echo Burning) are powered by the crime called murder for hire. In real life, […]

Lone Star Jack: Don’t Mess With a Dangerous Mob Boss

In Lone Star Jack, we meet Cesar Baez, a second generation gangster. The son of a mob boss. A greedy man cursed with intelligence, wealth, and absolutely no conscience. A lethal combination. My research in creating this complex villain brought me to some interesting findings. From 1929 to 1941, an organized crime group known as Murder, […]

Lone Star Jack: When Desperation Meets Greed…

My research always includes a few chats with my friend, Lee Child. We talk about his source book and my ideas for my story. Sometimes, he has great insights! For instance, when I shared the snippet from Echo Burning that I’d chosen for the front matter, he said with a grin, “Great quote!” I agreed, of course. How […]

Lone Star Jack – A lot can happen in 10 long years…

The exciting news is that Corey Snow’s amazing audio book narration is almost finished. As soon as it’s done, we’ll move the narration into the final stages of production. With any luck, audio book preorder links should be available before the end of September. I always love getting to this point because it means we’ll soon have […]

Lone Star Jack and Echo Burning

Lone Star Jack releases October 25, but the events in the story take place in the Spring.  Even though the calendar says springtime, everything about the  southwest Texas setting is hot and threatening. Just the way we readers like it! Indeed, John posted this on Goodreads last week. I’m “chuffed” as our British friends would […]
