Serialized Novels: The Food Trucks of the Book World

A little earlier this week, I asked you about your favorite diner. Mainly because Jack Reacher loves them, and so do FBI Agents Kim Otto & Carlos Gaspar.
Here’s another question to consider: what’s your favorite snack?

Food trucks are sort of the snack equivalent of a restaurant, aren’t they? Stop by when convenient, grab a bite, take it to go. Might stop by again the next day, might not.

We have a food truck in Traverse City, Michigan, where I spend my summers, called Roaming Harvest.

Roaming Harvest

They serve whatever’s in season, and they use food from local businesses and farms. They have THE BEST tacos: pulled pork, blackened chicken, whitefish… Yummy salads, too.

Do you have food trucks where you live?

I ask about snacks because this week we also talked about the return of the serialized novel, and talked about it as a form of “snackable content.” Something you can consume quickly and in bite-sized pieces.

False Truth: A Jordan Fox Mystery is a serial novel. The whole thing is released now, so if you prefer a hearty meal, you can devour the whole thing at once. But if you’re like most of us, and if you’re like Jordan Fox, who works in TV news, you may only have time for a few chapters here and a few chapters there. Nothing wrong with snacking! I hope you love the mystery serial, and don’t forget to tell me about your favorite snack or food truck! Just press the “Comment” button below.

We do not have food trucks , however I have been in places that do and enjoyed eating their food . One of my favorite snacks is a variety of cheeses and crackers .

I am from Fort Wayne, IN and I know we have food trucks…mostly downtown for people that work. I have not had the pleasure of eating there, but two of our daughters live in Baton Rouge and they also have them. One of our daughters owns a small frame shop/art gallery and uses them when she has her art shows for new artists that display in her gallery. I love them!!
My husband and I spent our 40th wedding anniversary at Black Star Farms and came into Traverse City to shop. Love that city.

Food trucks are popular for people working in downtown Tampa, too. Guess the food truck owners are onto something! 😉
