Facebook: Love It or Hate It?

Me? I love Facebook. I think it’s a fantastic place to hang out with readers, writers, and friends in my more personal life, too.

But before I launch into why Facebook works for me, I want to acknowledge that not everyone likes or uses Facebook. Some people can’t stand it, some people have accounts but don’t get around to using them, and some people simply don’t care to sign up for it. And I respect that. That’s why I keep my communication door open also to email, my website, Twitter, even snail mail upon request!

But Facebook happens to be a place I enjoy, and these are some of the reasons:

  • It’s always good for a morning, midday, or late-night laugh.

Book Run

  • It’s a place where I can share special sales and promos with you.

Kobo Deal

  • It allows me to connect with other authors.

Unlucky 7

  • On Facebook, you can choose to have a conversation in real time OR on your own schedule!

Your IT Book

  • I can get to know my readers on a more personal level than some other platforms may allow

Are you like me? Do you enjoy Facebook? Or do you prefer to spend your time elsewhere?

Jack in the Green Audio

Scary noises caught on camera…

This summer I found myself smack in the middle of a major thunderstorm with a camera in hand. The video is so scary, I’ve been saving it to show you for Halloween. (Turn your audio on!) Pretty scary, huh? Speaking of spooky sounds, I wanted to let you know that lots of my books are […]

Ebola vaccine? Pure fiction.

For now, an Ebola vaccine is pure fiction. There are experimental drugs, but no vaccines or medicines. Three vaccines are in development. Still, according to the CDC, an Ebola vaccine is likely at least a year away from heading to trial stages. Treatments that can improve the chance of survival do exist, including administering IV fluids, […]

Deadly Dozen 2 – A Sweet Treat For Readers Today

Today, several states in the United States are observing Sweetest Day. Are you? The idea is simple: give friends and loved ones sweets, flowers, and/or cards. Sound familiar?
