In today’s installment of this How We Met series, I wanted to tell you about how I met Cory Clubb, my book cover design artist.
At ThrillerFest 2012, Aaron Patterson of The Twelve and I were members of a panel discussing the Indie Revolution with Bob Mayer, C.J. Lyons, Leo J. Maloney, Lewis Perdue, and Jennifer Talty.
When Aaron mentioned Cory Clubb to me and showed me his work, I knew immediately Cory’s designs would fit my books perfectly. Luckily for me, Cory was willing to create artistic interpretations of my thrillers… again and again and again.
The rest, as they say, is history. Since then, Cory has designed many great covers for my books, including two of my favorites, Get Back Jack and Jack in the Green:
In an ongoing project, Cory’s working on the Hunt for Truth Serial covers with me. Here’s a look at the most recent cover Cory created, which will be released later this month in German Language. You’ll recognize it as Jack and Kill.
While most of us would like to deny we don’t judge a book by its cover, the cover art plays a huge rule in how we choose what to read next, doesn’t it? That’s why I’m so grateful to Cory Clubb for making me look good.
Who is somebody in your life who makes you look your best?
