I like to spend it with Willa, because I am sure she is a feisty judge like Judge Jeanine on Fox- and she keeps you going!!!!!

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:21 am #

That sounds like great fun to me, Suzanne! Let’s do it!

  2. Kathryn Defranc June 13, 2014 at 4:15 am #

I would like to have Jess with me,she keeps going no matter what and can stop any enemies in their tracks with her shot!

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:22 am #

That skill definitely does sound handy, doesn’t it, Kathryn? (And it would be good for killing dinner, too!)

  3. Anna June 13, 2014 at 7:35 am #

I’d choose Jess as she seems like an asset to have any time!

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:22 am #

      Works for me, Anna!

  4. Vicki Hancock June 13, 2014 at 9:16 am #

    Jesus so I wouldn’t starve!

    • Vicki Hancock June 13, 2014 at 9:17 am #

      Oops auto correct. That’s Jess

      • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:23 am #

Probably it would be good to have both of them on our island, Vicki!

  5. Nancy Wolfe June 13, 2014 at 9:25 am #

    With Jenny.

  6. Phyllis Lamken June 13, 2014 at 10:16 am #

    Jenny.

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:24 am #

Nancy and Phyllis, I’d like Jenny, too. She works very hard — and I’m pretty lazy. 😀

  7. Ann Waters June 13, 2014 at 10:49 am #

I would choose Jess because she could take of business and hopefully help me.

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:25 am #

I can go with that, Ann!

  8. Sue Sattler June 13, 2014 at 11:04 am #

Well it can’t be Willa, I’m tall enough to reach the fruit, but I’m not a runner. So if something was after us, she would outrun me and I would be toast. Maybe Jenny, I’m a good swimmer too, so while she was leading the sharks away from me, I could swim to safety. lol I’m also a pretty good shot, so if I was with Jess, we would never go hungry. Wow, tough choice. 😀

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:24 am #

Sounds like all three of them would be lucky to have YOU, Sue!

  9. Linda Ann Graham June 13, 2014 at 11:39 am #

I’d choose Jenny. A year would be a long time to spend with someone who did NOT have a lot of empathy. I’m sure we’d manage to deal with much more “situations” given that empathy. “Close quarters” doesn’t require a lot of time to be at one another’s throats; empathy would greatly enhance our chances of surviving peacefully and cooperatively.

  10. Linda Goebel June 13, 2014 at 12:01 pm #

For me it would definitely be Willa. Her character fascinates me and I’d have enough questions and comments to fill the year.

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:26 am #

You should send me some of those questions, Linda. I’d like to write another Willa book. Maybe we can get some of your questions answered. Hmmmmm?

  11. Kristen June 13, 2014 at 12:05 pm #

I’d pick Jenny! Empathy and hard work would go a long way on a deserted island! Thank you for such a generous giveaway!

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:26 am #

You’re welcome, Kristen. And thanks for visiting our island!

  12. Vicky A. Dine June 13, 2014 at 12:26 pm #

It would have to be Jess’s her Top 3 Attributes: Determined, Never gives up, Sharp shooter who might kill dinner. Would come in handy. We would work well together since we are both determined and never give up, we could survive anything. 🙂

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:27 am #

Sounds like you’re absolutely right, Vicky!

  13. Colleen C. June 13, 2014 at 1:01 pm #

Jess would be my choice! 😀

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:27 am #

      Good one, Colleen!

  14. Diana Johnson June 13, 2014 at 1:25 pm #

I would chose Willa as I find her such an elegant and fascinating woman who knows her way around danger!!

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:28 am #

She can get herself into some messes, though, can’t she Diana? LOL!

  15. Bobbi Kinion June 13, 2014 at 4:48 pm #

If you were forced to spend 1 year on a deserted island with Willa, Jess, or Jenny, which woman would you choose? I would choose Jess because her attributes are a lot like mine.

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:28 am #

Sounds like Jess would be lucky to have you, Bobbi!

  16. Natasha June 13, 2014 at 5:46 pm #

Despite tough times, she remains loyal. Plus, conversations would just be fun!

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:29 am #

Which one are you choosing, Natasha?

  17. kristin sims June 13, 2014 at 6:38 pm #

I would have to pick Jess…she is tough and perseveres, thank you!

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:29 am #

      I agree totally, Kristin!

  18. Debra Curtiss June 13, 2014 at 8:07 pm #

Willa of course. As long as we have the makings of having a nice drink in the evening. That woman has some stories to tell….I would love to listen.

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:30 am #

She is pretty interesting to me, too, Debra — and the evening cocktail is a must!

  19. GladysMP June 13, 2014 at 10:13 pm #

I would choose Jennie. Loved the story.

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:30 am #

I’m so glad, Galdys. I love Jenny. She’s got some interesting experiences ahead of her, methinks. Hmmmm???

  20. Marcia Berbeza June 13, 2014 at 11:26 pm #

Jess is my choice because attitude is everything! As long as you don’t give up, you have a chance to succeed!

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:31 am #

      True, Marcia. Very true.

  21. Rachael B. June 14, 2014 at 12:38 am #

I would choose Jess. Determination would be a definite asset when confined to an island. Also, we would not go hungry since she is a sharp shooter.

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:31 am #

That was my feeling about it, Rachel. Otherwise, I’m afraid I’d be on the “desert island diet” !!!

  22. Doreen Parker June 14, 2014 at 2:22 am #

Willa because I just love her.

  23. Sherry June 14, 2014 at 2:49 am #

Willa, but I’d really like Reacher.

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:32 am #

Maybe Reacher would be okay, Sherry. But all that “saying nothing” stuff would get old after a while, don’t you think?

  24. Maggie Steele June 14, 2014 at 9:40 am #

I have to say Willa because I don’t like wishywashy people.

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:33 am #

Well, no one would call Willa wishy-washy, for sure, Maggie! (Stubborn and opinionated, definitely!) 😀

  25. Jo @ Mixed Book BAg June 14, 2014 at 9:05 pm #

Willa because she seems to be the most popular.

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:34 am #

Willa has an enviable life, Jo. My idea of heaven would be to live on HER island!

  26. Lynne B Graham June 15, 2014 at 6:51 am #

I think Jess, because of her never give up attitude. With Jess on the island I know we would still be alive at the end of a year. Our escapades during that time would surely make for a good book.

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:34 am #

I’ll bet you would have some great stories to share, Lynne!

  27. Elisa June 15, 2014 at 6:18 pm #

Jess :3 Having someone around able to get some dinner would be really appreciated! xD I get kind of grumpy if I don’t have anything to eat 😛
    shantih (at) hotmail (dot) it

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:35 am #

      Right there with you, Elisa!

  28. JanD June 15, 2014 at 10:12 pm #

    I would pick Jess.

  29. Melanie McClure June 16, 2014 at 8:27 am #

I would have to choose Jess. She sounds like she can take anything on without even blinking and I would need someone tough with me!

    • Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:35 am #

Melanie and Jan – I agree!

  30. Larry H. June 16, 2014 at 2:06 pm #

I would choose Willa because she is near my age – younger – and I love her lifestyle. And, I am the only male I see. thus far, in the responses, which, may be an advantage if she has to choose someone to date. But, then again, I am married…

  31. Diane Capri June 18, 2014 at 10:36 am #

Larry, maybe your wife would give you permission to live on an island for a year with Willa. Who knows? 😀

    • Larry June 18, 2014 at 11:28 am #

If the island is Maui or Kauai or Venice, wow, any of those would be real adventures. An island with just sand and a palm tree, or two, would not be my idea of an adventure with her. An island with beauty, and/or history, and/or mystery…that’s where Willa would truly shine.
