How to Personalize Your eBook

eBooks catch a lot of flak from their paperback and hardback “big brothers.”

There are some features of printed books that eBooks just can’t offer. eBooks don’t have that beloved new book smell (the smell is so adored that there’s even a candle for it), eBooks don’t allow you to display your book collection in your house, they don’t give you an excuse to collect cool bookmarks, and they can potentially run out of battery.

Bookworm Problems

But there are some major advantages to eBooks, too:

  • With a Nook or Kindle or Kobo, you can fit 200 books in your purse — and it still weighs less than one hardback.
  • Come across a new book you want to read? You can buy it and start reading instantly.
  • You can touch a word and get a definition.

But there’s one advantage to paperbacks that e-books can never live up to — the ability to be autographed.

Right?

Wrong!

A really cool service called Authorgraph allows your ebook to be autographed by the author, with a personalized message to you and everything. It’s free!

I’d love to authorgraph any of your Diane Capri ebooks for you. When you make the request for an authorgraph (following the steps below), you get personal, digital inscription for an e-book. It is sent directly from me to your digital reading device. You don’t have to have a Kindle, and every Authorgraph is unique, meaning yours and yours alone.

How To Request An Authorgraph:

  1. Go to www.authorgraph.com/authors/DianeCapri
  2. Select which book you would like me to digitally sign.
  3. Click “Request Authorgraph” (the green button). During this stage, you can include a message to me if you wish.
  4. You’ll receive an email when I’ve signed your book.

If you send me a request soon, I’ll be able to personally wish you Happy Holidays in writing! I look forward to hearing from you.

Meanwhile —

What’s Up With Gold Right Now?

So, if you’ve read my thriller novel Deep Cover Jack, you know the potential gold has for being a major asset — or a weapon, for that matter. Gold has always been a valuable asset, for some cultures more than others. But recently, its status has been fluctuating a bit. Here’s a short rundown of […]

Thonotosassa, Florida

Florida as a murder site? What gives?

I love Florida. I know, I know— who doesn’t? But bear with me. I’m not talking only about Disney World and the beaches. As a mystery writer, I try to peer into the darker side of Florida, which is part of the intrigue! I’m not from Florida. In fact, I’m a proud, self-professed snowbird. Although […]

Happy Mysteries Solved By Saliva

The mystery books I write always involve something nefarious. A crime, a cover-up, or, at the very least, suspicious characters are always elements of the story. But not all mysteries are tragic. A mystery can be a question. Like: Who are my biological parents? That’s where services like ancestry.com come in. Sometimes, those services aren’t […]

Rockefeller Oil Monopoly

John D. Rockefeller: Creative or Criminal?

The storyline of my thriller, Blood Trails, is based around the fiercely competitive field of the oil business. While the story in Blood Trails is completely fiction, it’s supported by factual feuds between oil tycoons. One of the first major public conflicts surrounding the oil business originated with John D. Rockefeller, who demonstrated that the […]

If My Characters Had Winter Break: Traditions Around the States

This time of year I’m especially appreciative of Florida. Largely for the same reasons many of my books take place in Florida. The high today is 78 degrees Fahrenheit (25 degrees Celsius)— and it’s almost December! Just like Florida can do a mean Halloween, Florida can pull off a heck of a holiday/Christmas/winter celebration, too! One […]
