Jack Reacher’s Drive For Success in 2017

What changes do you expect this year?
What changes happened for you last year that you didn’t expect?
What do you expect will stay the same in this new year?

As we learn from all my books, and from life experiences all the time, things aren’t always as they seem…!

I don’t necessarily believe in horoscopes, but I think they’re fun to read and to test for truths.

If it doesn’t kill me first, I have plans this year to release a new Michael Flint Heir Hunter book. And, without getting into too much detail, in 2017 I expect we will hear from Kim Otto and Carlos Gaspar on their Hunt for Jack Reacher, and we’ll have more Jess Kimball, too.

As I write these mysteries and thrillers, I think about the personalities of those involved in the stories, and what may be in store for them in the year 2017. What changes can Michael Flint of Blood Trails expect this year? He’s a Capricorn. Here’s his horoscope: It’s your year to charge ahead, make bold changes for progress, success, and achieve greater respect in the world.

Hmm… what does it mean for an heir hunter to make bold changes for progress? Read my thriller Blood Trails to start thinking about what may be next for Michael Flint! We’ll all find out soon enough.

Jack Reacher is a Scorpio. Here’s his horoscope for 2017: Your drive for success is unwavering. Your craving for love and respect is also without limits. The outside world may be crazy at times but at the end of every day, you return to what matters most in your life. Can FBI Special Agents Kim Otto and Carlos Gaspar use this info to inform their Hunt for Jack Reacher? Stay tuned in 2017 to find out.

Personally, I believe you can choose whatever horoscope you want. Let’s all be like Jack Reacher in 2017, with a “drive for success that is unwavering”. For me, that means writing fantastic new books for you. I’m off to do just that!

If you want to look up your 2017 outlook for fun, here’s a link where you can do so.

What If You Were in a Helicopter When the Engine Fails?

If you want to write a great action scene, you’ve gotta know something about physics, know someone(s) who does, or be able to figure it out through research. For me, it’s a combination of all three when I write action scenes for my thrillers. One of them happens in Blood Trails, my new thriller novel […]

How to Personalize Your eBook

eBooks catch a lot of flak from their paperback and hardback “big brothers.” There are some features of printed books that eBooks just can’t offer. eBooks don’t have that beloved new book smell (the smell is so adored that there’s even a candle for it), eBooks don’t allow you to display your book collection in your house, […]

So, if you’ve read my thriller novel Deep Cover Jack, you know the potential gold has for being a major asset — or a weapon, for that matter. Gold has always been a valuable asset, for some cultures more than others. But recently, its status has been fluctuating a bit. Here’s a short rundown of […]

Thonotosassa, Florida

Florida as a murder site? What gives?

I love Florida. I know, I know— who doesn’t? But bear with me. I’m not talking only about Disney World and the beaches. As a mystery writer, I try to peer into the darker side of Florida, which is part of the intrigue! I’m not from Florida. In fact, I’m a proud, self-professed snowbird. Although […]

Happy Mysteries Solved By Saliva

The mystery books I write always involve something nefarious. A crime, a cover-up, or, at the very least, suspicious characters are always elements of the story. But not all mysteries are tragic. A mystery can be a question. Like: Who are my biological parents? That’s where services like ancestry.com come in. Sometimes, those services aren’t […]

Rockefeller Oil Monopoly

John D. Rockefeller: Creative or Criminal?

The storyline of my thriller, Blood Trails, is based around the fiercely competitive field of the oil business. While the story in Blood Trails is completely fiction, it’s supported by factual feuds between oil tycoons. One of the first major public conflicts surrounding the oil business originated with John D. Rockefeller, who demonstrated that the […]
