Have you heard? Listen up!
It’s always fun for me to hear from readers. It’s especially fun when you tell me what you like best (and sometimes least!) about Otto and Gaspar. Such as?
You like that Kim Otto is brave. She’s worried all the time, but she forges ahead anyway. You like that she’s ambitious. Could she actually become the first woman ever to head the FBI? Obviously, I think so. Do you? (Of course, she’ll have to make a success of her Hunt for Jack Reacher first.)
Many of you are worried about Gaspar’s Tylenol consumption. You’re worried he might overdose. On Tylenol? Yes. Too much can damage his liver. Who knew?
But yesterday, I received something amazing from one of you and I couldn’t believe my ears. Could it be? Kim Otto speaks to everyone now, not just inside my head to me alone?
The surprise came from one of our recent readers, the amazing actress Kelley Hazen at StoryTeller. Have a listen!
This snippet makes me want to hear Carlos Gaspar speak! You, too?
It will be a while before the full Don’t Know Jack audiobook is available. But in the meantime, here’s the link to StoryTelller, so you can click over to see what else Kelley and her crew like about Kim Otto: Cop Show.
As always, thank you for reading! And please remember to leave your honest reviews at the retailer where you purchased my books to help other readers decide whether to give us a chance. We appreciate you!
To be quite honest, Diane, I found that voice to be too robotic. For me it takes away from the characters’ emotions. Maybe it would ‘feel’ different if I had heard the whole audio book from the beginning.
Very cool Diane! Is that Kelley Hazen’s voice? A lot of people really benefit from having someone read to them while they follow along. It helps them keep their focus and aids in their comprehension of the story. Especially those who have ADD. That said, I would have to agree with Sheila above. It does sound a little robotic. But perhaps this is your intention to build suspense? 🙂
You need to double check your facts. Your body has a great tollerance for tylenol and it is the
only pain reliever, non narcotic, that does NOT damage your liver.
I have this from a GI Dr. I have liver problems and asked him about OTC medicines. He said I could
take all the tylenol I wanted because it seems, for some reason they have not figured out, that it goes right through the liver on a special route that other things do not take and does no damage on the way through.
Diane – You will love Gaspar! I promise!
