Authors Support Our Troops 2015

I recently learned about a terrific event and I want to tell you about it because, well, you’ll understand.

It’s no secret that I love reading. I’m never without a book (or dozens of books) close at hand. I read everything and I read constantly. I can’t imagine being away from family, friends, and everything about home — without books, too? I’m betting you’re the same way or you wouldn’t be reading my blog. Right?

What if you were working in a remote area of the world where you couldn’t download ebooks and there were no bookstores to buy books to read during your downtime? Like these folks.

Armand Rosamilia and Authors Support Our Troops are avid readers just like us. They saw the need these troops had for books and for the second year, they are running this event to help.

Authors Support Our Troops 2015

January 1 through May 1, 2015.

This year, the goal is to send 3,500 author signed books to overseas troops in remote areas of the world.

They need autographed books and donations to cover postage.

I sent my first batch of books last week and they’ve already arrived.

Because working far away from family, friends and everything about home is more than enough.
