Pinterest: Simple concept, big world.

Are you on Pinterest?

Pinterest is one of those concepts that you might think you’d hate — and then, wow!  If you haven’t checked out Pinterest, I will try to explain it, but I’m sure I won’t do it justice. Fortunately, Pinterest is much easier and more fun to use than it is to explain.

Think of it like a picture album or a scrapbook where you can “pin” pictures of anything and everything you like.

Pinterest is a free website where users login and create “boards”. Think of them like bulletin boards.

Here’s one of mine you might like:

Think Like Jack Reacher

People make Pinterest Boards with pictures of all kinds of things. Interior design, food, quotes, great hotels or travel spots, books you want to read, books you’ve read, clothing inspired by books you’ve read… really. Anything.

You just give the board a title and attach pictures to it, which usually then link to a website so you can find them and more like them, but not always.

Each user has a homepage. Which, if you’re on Facebook, you might compare to the news feed. It’s a big, never ending collage of all the things the people you follow on Pinterest have “pinned” onto their boards recently.

Simple concept, big world.

I love pinning my favorite book quotes on Pinterest.

I also pin special book deals – whether mine or others’, fun pictures from my two home states, Florida and Michigan…

Sand Sculpture

book humor…

Ignorance- There is a Cure

and, one of my favorite boards to pin to: Herend Porcelain Willa Loves. Like this gorgeous angel ornament. Can’t you see that atop Judge Willa Carson’s mantel??

Of course, I love to pin all things Jack Reacher, too. Are you on Pinterest? If so, you can follow me HERE! And leave a comment below telling me what you love to pin!
