You know how the saying goes.
April showers bring May flowers.
That may be true, but look what else April showers bring:
Beautiful sunsets! Can you imagine being a passenger in that plane on the left, flying through that stunning evening sky? What a treat!
This sunset happened after a full day of storms in Florida.
I’ve learned that some of the most colorful sunsets happen after rainstorms because moisture and clouds help disperse the color. If you can give a scientific explanation, feel free to chime in!
Thoughts about “What’s blooming” top my Saturday Special this weekend.
1. Seeds I planted months ago are expected to sprout this Thursday, May 1st. If you subscribe to my NewsFlash!, you know what I’m talking about. Otherwise, my lips are sealed for now! Visit my blog on Thursday for details!
2. Somebody’s bookshelf is “blooming” with a brand new Kindle Paperwhite! The grand prize was raffled off as a part of a Blog Hop I participated in with the Florida Chapter of Mystery Writers of America. The topic? Florida is a giant bug light for crazy people. Check my blog regularly for more chances to win cool prizes like this.
3. Along with blooming flowers come hatching eggs. Or in this case…
Crying eggs! I don’t even like eggs, but this picture made me feel a little sorry for them. The picture was a big hit on my Facebook page, so I wanted to share with you here, too.
4. In the spirit of rain clouds dispersing, I leave you with one more picture.
Far too true, right?
Here’s hoping that whatever the weather wherever you are, you have a good book and a cozy reading spot!
Enjoyed the sunset! Just dropped in to say, “Hello!”
I know that Florida had floods, but we can’t get a drop of rain. Send us some.
