Toasting with a mojito? Yes. Here’s why:

This time last week, many of us were celebrating the 4th of July. What to celebrate today? How about National Mojito Day??
Hmm, I won’t turn down an excuse for a mojito.

Mojito Recipe

According to Nashville Lifestyles

“Depending on who you believe, the mojito either came from the Spanish word ‘mojar’, which means to wet, or the African word ‘mojo’, which means to cast a spell. Anybody who’s ever tasted one will agree that it’s thirst quenching and spellbinding in equal measures.”

Here’s a variation on the classic mojito — a Champagne Mojito:

Looks great, but if we’re having a champagne mojito, we’ll need a reason to celebrate.
How about the upcoming release of my newest Hunt for Jack Reacher thriller, Jack and Joe? Sure, we could wait until the actual release to celebrate, but I’d say the announcement of the anticipated release date (August 25th, 2015) is occasion enough.

Now that I’m finished writing the book and am in the final polishing stages, I have a little more time on my hands to do a good, thorough, summer home cleaning.
But let’s be real. I’ll probably be reading instead. 🙂 How about you?
