2014: What Does The Year of the Horse Plan For You?

2013 is drawing to a close, but if you still want more time before mentally beginning a new chapter, you’re in luck! According to the Chinese Zodiac, we still have 30 days left to wind up 2013 and prepare for our future. The Year of the Snake ends on January 30, 2014. And then we begin the Year of the Horse.

Like the horse, the next Chinese Year will be full of spirit, grit, determination, vitality, and endurance. Surely it’s no coincidence that the same words describe Willa Carson, Jenny Lane, Jess Kimball and Kim Otto, right?

Here are some predictions made the Year of the Horse:

  • Leaders are expected to find a way to make a difference and will set the stage for big change.
  • Bad luck will be rare in the Year of the Horse!
  • The year will still be subject to the wrath of the past year, such as natural disasters and strange weather patterns.
  • People who offer alternative medicine services will have an increased demand for their services.
  • Populations will get together and help each other, showcasing a communal living mindset.

But what does it mean for you? According to the Chinese Zodiac, how you will fare in the Chinese New Year will depend upon your Chinese animal sign. I’m “enthusiastic, energetic, lively, intelligent and innovative,” the Chinese Zodiac says. You know what that means? 2014 will be a very good year for me – The Dragon!

Hey, Diane, I’m a dragon, too! So my year should be as excellent as yours! Love this post!

Year of the Dog! Loyal, honest, responsible, courageous, warm-hearted..I’d say that’s pretty close. Yea, I agree with what my year should be. At least hopefully that’s how it turns out. Considering it sounds eerily like what my plans were before I read it. Happy New Year, Diane!

Well that makes sense I am a RABBIT (not your average rabbit but a Waskerly Wabbit) affectionate, kind, gentle, compassionate and merciful. Looking at the year ahead I think I had better toughen up, looks like I am in for a rough ride. So don’t pinch any of my carrots or you may be in trouble. hehehe

You’re right, Lynne — all of that sounds exactly like you, except for the rascally part. 😀

I’m a snake, and it looks like I have a good year ahead! 😀 *hisss* << but it's a happy hiss, not a grumpy one.

I’m a rabbit – “Affectionate, kind, gentle, compassionate, merciful”. I guess that’s me, although I do have my moments when I’m not so any of those things. 😉

It says this about the year ahead for me: “The Rabbit is likely to be overwhelmed by the hoofs of the horse. Sporting elite and warriors win this year, since they can download on the opponent their negative energy. But employees, state officials, workers, artisans may have a tough year ahead of them, because the negative energies are hindering in the workplace.”

I don’t necessarily agree with that though. I’ve made it a priority the last two weeks to get rid of time sucks, combine as much as possible, make clean/clear goals with realistic (I hope) steps to get there. Plus I’m not a meek rabbit – I can give as good as I get. AND since I’m the only one in my work environment – I’m in control of the negativity. LOL If you see me moping, feel free to give me a smack. Gently of course. 😉

Just picture this rabbit ridin’ the horse. Giddy up!

I’m a dragon as well. Guess we’ll all have a great year, which is nice to hear. 🙂
