Readers Ask: What Are You Writing Now?

Readers ask why I’ve been mostly absent from Facebook, Twitter, and several blogs recently. When I say I’m working hard, they ask what I’m working on now.

So here’s a quick peek at my desktop.

In various stages of completion at the moment are…

  • Responses to mail from readers of our new Amazon Bestseller, Don’t Know Jack.I read and respond to everyone as quickly as I can. I’ll post some of the mail next week. Please be patient if I’m a little slower than usual right now. The response to Don’t Know Jack and my other books has been so astonishing since Lee Child kindly mentioned us on Twitter, Facebook, and in his recent Reacher Report. You folks are fabulous!!!
  • An interview by Debra Eve for her blog, Later Bloomer, which will appear this month along with an article she’s writing about Lee Child;
  • A new short story titled Jack in a Box. I’ll show you the cover as soon as our cover artist Jeroen ten Berge has it ready for prime time.
  • Jack in a Box will be released on Kindle when Lee Child’s phenomenal international bestseller The Affair is released in paperback on March 27;
  • The second novel in the Hunt for Reacher series, featuring Kim Otto and Carlos Gaspar, tentatively titled Get Jack Back. If you want to be notified of new releases and the like, be sure to sign up HERE.
Whew! So that’s me. What about you? What are you working on?

    Just finished “Don’t know jack”. A very clever title and plot, very much in the style of a Reacher novel. I thought I knew “The Killing Floor” floor, but I will have to re-read it again. A great book, and I hope for more in this line – especially getting to know more about Agent Otto’s past. She is a good character that has many lines to expand. The mystery of who really is her boss, and what his motives are, remain unclear, so another area for development.

    This one definitely goes in the “must read again” folder. Well done.

    Thank you, Adrian. I’m very pleased that you liked Don’t Know Jack and appreciate your taking the time to let me know. High praise, indeed, to be compared so favorably to the Reacher novels! I’m especially thrilled that you’re placing Don’t Know Jack in your “must read again” folder along with Killing Floor. I have read all of the Reacher books and when I stumbled on your book, through Amazon, I thought “what’s this about?” So I bought the ebook, spent a Sunday afternoon with it, and thoroughly enjoyed it! Good work, Diane!!
