How to celebrate National Authors Day!

Happy National Authors Day!

Yes, today is the first day of November. So, happy November!

But it’s also National Authors Day. National Authors Day is said to have started in 1968 as a way to “brighten up the sometimes lonely business of being a writer.” You can read more about it here.

This weekend, let’s take a moment to send a note to our favorite author. These days, that most likely means sending a quick email, but many authors are on Facebook or even Twitter (as I mentioned in my blog earlier this week.)

If you can’t think of your favorite author, why not drop a note of encouragement to Beth Dexter, the writer who is working with me on the new Hunt for Truth Serial Novels? Since this is her debut week, it would be a nice time to congratulate her on becoming an author. To tell Beth Dexter Happy National Authors Day, you can write on her Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/bethdexterbooks.

To me, National Authors Day also means a time to thank YOU for being the best readers in the world! You’re the ones who make our work possible — so thank you!
